Advocate Health Care/Dreyer Medical Clinic
Primary Care Facility
741 West Lincoln Avenue
Hinckley, IL

Description:

Although Americans spent nearly $13 billion for medical services during 2000, convenient healthcare access still remains a problem for many. Advocate Health Care -- one of the nation's leading integrated delivery systems -- recognized fast-growing Hinckley's critical need for a state-of-the-art primary-care facility to bring the full range of complementary healthcare services closer to its citizens.

Dreyer Medical Clinic's -- Advocate's for-profit medical group -- strategic objective is to make quality health care as convenient and accessible in the communities it serves. Dreyer chose Alter+Care to develop a 3,500 SF primary-care facility on a turnkey design/build basis to make this level of care more accessible to Hinckley residents. Alter+Care supervised the process from start to finish, helped locate an appropriate site, and selected an architect who designed the facility in accordance with clear-cut community architectural covenants. Alter Construction Group was the design/builder and completed Dreyer's Hinckley primary-care facility on time and within budget. The building has five examination rooms and houses comprehensive and complementary outpatient services under a single roof.

Dreyer, established during the 1920s, is significantly increasing its presence throughout the rapidly expanding Fox Valley base of operations. The overriding goal is to position community-based physician practice groups and stand-alone urgent-care medical services close to where people live and work.
